OUR CHARTER

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:15-16

"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest." Isaiah 62:1

The return of the Lord Jesus Christ is the event of the ages that will mark the beginning of the “restitution of all things” (Acts. 3:21). Eden will be restored, the Kingdom of God will be permanently replanted here upon this beautiful planet, and so will ensue a span of 1,000 years where Jesus and his immortalized saints rule the earth in righteousness and peace.

The signs the Lord has given to us clearly show that this event is nigh upon us! Now is the time for our greatest efforts toward our Master. And “knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Rom. 13:11). If we have ever intended to fully apply ourselves to the Lord, now is the time to act! Once he returns, our opportunities for repentance cease: “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still” (Rev. 22:11). Let us cast away anything that weighs us down and give full diligence to make our calling and election sure “while it is called to day” (Heb. 3:13).

It is our most passionate aspiration to study the Word of God as thoroughly as our mortal minds will allow. As we study and learn, we feel a strong responsibility to share the profit we gain with as many as will lend us an ear. At the same time, the Lord's prophecies are rapidly developing before our very eyes. Every day, the news agencies of the world publish countless headlines bearing heavily upon prophecies spoken long ago, communicating to the servants of the Lord the nearness of the His return.

The Apostle Paul tells us to exhort "one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Heb. 10:25). That longed-for day certainly approaches us, and so for the past many months we have sent out various emails highlighting news articles and illustrating their prophetical relevance. All of these factors have caused us to seek a platform to carry out this labor of love and sense of duty. It was not, however, until the falling asleep of the Brother Harold Lafferty, Editor and Publisher of The Prophecy Letter, that all of these aspirations came together.

Though he was unable to contact us before his falling asleep, Brother Harold had made it clear to various individuals that he was going to take us "on board as an associate editor with a clear path forward." After discussing the matter with Brother Harold's family and numerous Brethren to ensure that all are of the same mind, we have inherited Brother Harold's works.

We seek, however, not only to preserve his works, but to continue the work and expand its scope to encompass all aspects of God's truth. We therefore have decided to entitle our work The Gospel Proclamation. Brother Harold's website The Prophecy Letter has been copied and reproduced on this website under the heading eTPL.

Our goal with The Gospel Proclamation is not only to proclaim the Gospel itself, but to illustrate and expound what the Gospel proclaims. We seek to study subjects thoroughly, relying almost exclusively on personal research and examining the SCRIPTURAL TESTIMONY ITSELF. Like Brother Lafferty, we have always felt inclined to put aside the endless commentaries and traverse the more difficult, but vastly more profitable route to "prove all things" (1 Thessalonians 5:21), allowing the Word of God alone to form our understanding. It is our hope to invest a lifetime of study and labor into this website so that the Household might share the benefit of our studies until the day of the Lord’s advent.

With the Lord's help, we will publish studies of all things Scripture and send out regular updates on the development of latter-day prophecy. Whatever we produce we will diligently endeavor to substantiate with Scriptural support. For those subjects that Scripture does not speak so clearly on, we will temper our speech accordingly.

We humbly invite all Bible students, new and experienced alike, to join us in our endeavor to learn and understand the Lord's revelation to the fullest extent of our mortal abilities. We challenge all to do so WITH BIBLE IN HAND and the attitude of the Bereans, who "received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11). If any have comments or questions, we invite you to contact us through email. Our contact information is attached below, and we will do our very best to respond to all communications as we are able.

There is a great need for these things in the Lord's Household. Although we feel that we are vastly inadequate to perform this task, we know and trust that He who hath formed the mouth can also quicken it according to His eternal purpose (Exo. 4:10-12). “With God all things are possible” (Matt. 19:26).

We pray for the Lord's blessing in this endeavor and upon all who likewise seek to learn the wondrous Word of the Lord, so that we all might bear fruit one hundred-fold unto Him and "be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:7).

"Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen." - Revelation 7:12
