Wisdom of the Elders
"Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days."
Job 12:12 (RSV)
In the race for eternal life, we are "all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). Yet the Spirit instructs, "ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder" (1 Peter 5:5). There is great wisdom in this Divine command, for while the elders are indeed our brothers and sisters, they are more experienced brothers and sisters and have much to offer in the way of knowledge, wisdom, and instruction.

The purpose of the Wisdom of the Elders project is to interview and converse with the elders of the ecclesias to glean from the wisdom that their experience and time in the truth has blessed them with. In addition to sharing their wisdom, we aim to

-
Discover the foundation for their belief and conviction
-
Preserve and share their wisdom with future generations
-
Illustrate how the truth impacts and changes individuals
-
Show God calls people from various walks of life
-
Share their advice for the youth and those learning about the truth
It is hoped that this will help strengthen and encourage the household, and we invite you to hear their story of how they came into the Truth, what they’ve learned along the way, and words of wisdom they have for the rest of us. As the Spirit declared through Solomon, "A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels" (Proverbs 1:5). With the Lord’s blessing, may we all reap from the experience of "elders that rule well" (1 Timothy 5:17).
