Russia Further Empowers Iran – Is Turkey Against Russia?

Make ready! In yet another INCREDIBLY SIGNIFICANT development, Russia is now allowing Iran to transport weapons into Syria through air transport. The news article from DEBKAfile is short and concise, and so we will copy it below and offer our comments after it. The headline reads “Russia lets Iranian arms planes land at its Syrian air base”.

“In a major concession to Iran – and the third setback in a week for Israel – Moscow is for the first time allowing Iranian weapons-laden flights land at the big Russian Hmeimim air base in western Syria. This follows the announcement of joint Russia-Syria air patrols over the Golan and the deployment of Russian military police units at the Syrian port of Latakia, after it was bombed by Israel as a primary portal for the intake of Iranian weapons shipments for its surrogate forces. Hmeimim is the main hub of Russia’s military operations in Syria. Our sources report that a joint Russia-Syria air defense exercise was conducted this week, another inhibitor of the continuation of Israeli air strikes…” (January 29, 2022)

Iran has long been transporting weapons into the region to prepare for an assault on Israel. The weapons are being distributed to Iran’s proxies – the terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and others which aim to encircle and destroy Israel. Iran transports these weapons through the Port of Latakia in Syria, forcing Israel to strike the Port and destroy the weapons intended to be used against them.

Russia, however, has placed patrols around the Port, largely preventing Israeli strikes. AND NOW, on top of that, Russia is allowing “Iranian weapons-laden” planes into the region, allowing these weapons to arrive in greater volume and speed.

This leaves Israel with even fewer options as to how to stop Iran from an imminent attack on Israel. This, we believe, could result in Israel feeling that they have no other option than to strike the Iranian home-front, neutralizing Iran and causing them to call upon her terrorist proxies to unite against Israel, and therefore become the spark that ignites the war of Psalm 83.

The result of this war is the destruction of the Arab entities listed in the 83rd Psalm, otherwise known as the “heathen round about” (Zechariah 12:2,6, 14:14). They will meet their end by the hand of Christ and the saints (with the permitted assistance of the IDF we believe), and the prophecy of Zechariah 14:21 will finally and forever be fulfilled, “there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.” See also Zechariah 12:5-6, 14:5,14.

An Israeli strike on Iran would account for why Persia is not mentioned in this first war, but is mentioned with Russia later on as she would be able to recover from Israeli damage. Given current events, this scenario is appearing to be more and more likely.

Is Turkey Against Russia?

“Turkey Appears To Be Backing Ukraine In Potential War With Russia.” This headline appeared on Israel365 and, we believe, shows that the war of Ezekiel 38 is still further into the future than many might hope. Turkey (Togarmah) must be allied with Russia (Gog) when he comes against the land of Israel. This division of Turkey and Russia adds to the chorus of signs that indicate that there is still much needed before Gog can come against Israel.

It appears that the Gogian host is still in development, and we propose that we will not see the full maturity of the alliance (as mortals at least) as Scripture indicates that it is only when Israel dwells safely (Ezekiel 38:8,11,14) and “THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” reigns (Jeremiah 23:5-6) that Gog comes down.

This requires that Christ must first return, raise the covenanted dead, judge his people, and (in our understanding) celebrate the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. From thence they will ascend from the place of judgment, which we believe to be Mount Sinai in Arabia, and destroy the Proximal Arabs as the immortalized multitudinous Christ makes its way for Jerusalem (Isaiah 63:1-6, Habakkuk 3:3-16). After these are destroyed, their wealth is gathered and the Kingdom Proper is established. It is then and only then that Scripture indicates Gog will come against Israel. As always, we wait to see how events will play out, but fervently expect to be gathered at any moment! Let us hope and pray it may be so! “Even so, come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).
