Prophecy Letters

"Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them." Matt. 13:16-17

Rising Tensions Between Israel and the Arab Confederacy

The Islamic “holy” month of Ramadan has brought with it yet another increase in violence to Israel, adding to the already high tensions between Israel and her Arab neighbors. Consider the following headlines in recent days and weeks, and note how busy the IDF is! Israel is facing trouble on multiple fronts with the Arab entities listed in Psalm 83, and they are also facing trouble within:

The above articles deal with

-        Hamas in the Gaza Strip, which geographically corresponds to the land of the Philistines – Psalm 83:7, Isaiah 11:14.

-        The Palestinians as a whole, which word literally means Philistines. In 135 AD, Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed Judea “Palestine” - the name of Israel’s ancient arch-enemies - in one of his many acts to crush the spirit of the Jews. This short article explains how the land came to be called Palestine: Why was ancient Israel renamed Palestine? – 60Sec History Facts. Therefore, anyone claiming to be “Palestinian” is taking on the name of the Philistines.

-        Syria, the southern portion of which corresponds to the Hagarenes – Psalm 83:6

-        Lebanon, the entirety of which is accounted for under the names Gebal and Tyre – Psalm 83:7

Most of the nations mentioned in Psalm 83 are already chomping at the bit to wipe Israel off the map, but they have yet to unite under the shared purpose, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” (Psalm 83:4). As these nations literally surround Israel, this war will be a war on all fronts – Israel’s north, south, east, and west borders, but they will also face trouble within their borders as Arab hostiles are interspersed throughout the entirety of the land. While it is unlikely that the IDF is comprised of prophecy students, Israel sees that such a conflict is possible and is preparing for it. We believe that we are seeing now are merely “tremors” that precede the great and terrible earthquake!

The Jordanian Question

Now, we would like to briefly consider one specific entity that is mentioned in Psalm 83; one whose involvement in the coming conflict we find incredibly interesting. Jordan, accounted for in Psalm 83 under the names Edom, Ammon, and Moab (Psalm 83:6-7), seems to be the only nation of the Psalm 83 confederacy that does not presently clamor for the end of the Jewish state. By this, we do not mean that they do not want Israel destroyed, but that they presently enjoy a somewhat friendlier relationship with them than her other Arab neighbors. This is due to the economic benefits of forging ties with the flourishing country of Israel.

What has been called “cold peace” between Israel and Jordan is, however, a fragile thing, and the economic benefits of economic ties will not outweigh the age-old quarrel for the right to Jerusalem. The religious right to Jerusalem is the deeply-sunk thorn that will cannot be removed, and Ramadan has recently reminded all that Jordan, a Muslim country, is not exempt from this:

That being said, Jordan still does not presently share the extreme attitude of her other Arab friends and, openly at least, call for the end of the Jewish state. Yet, the Scripture is clear: Jordan will be involved in this coming conflict. How, then, might Jordan change their disposition?

We believe history suggests the most plausible and logical answer. Jordan was involved in many of the previous Arab-Israeli wars, but it’s important to note that it was almost always half-heartedly or unwillingly so. Most of the time, they joined by the pressure of the other neighboring Arab states. History and the present state of things suggest that this will happen again.

We believe that one day, which appears to be near, all of the Proximal Arab nations will join forces in a single, united effort to destroy Israel. Jordan, seeing all of her neighbors united and suffering pressure from them to join their ranks, will reluctantly throw in their lot with them for what will be the last time, for it is the Lord and his saints that go forth to save Israel, and none can withstand such a force (Habakkuk 3:13)! Recall that the 83rd Psalm opens with, “Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head” (Psalm 83:1-2).

The nations of Psalm 83 are here referred to as “the enemies of God”. These are those who are said to “hate God”. Keeping these two aspects in mind, consider three passages that illustrate this coming war, and note the wondrous prospects they entail for the Lord’s servants – you and I!

Psalms 68:1-4Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.”

God’s anointed will finally arise to destroy these hateful enemies and clear the territory for his Kingdom. Yes, he will be here on the earth to drive out the Arab inhabitants! His righteous servants are here exhorted to be glad and rejoice exceedingly, and it is no wonder as to why! Their Lord has returned! They, his tried and faithful servants, have been immortalized and now go with him triumphantly to claim the land promised to the fathers!

The conquering of the land by Israel under Joshua (the Hebrew name for “Jesus”) is itself a shadow account of what will happen under the leadership of the Greater Joshua. Another beautiful, though perhaps less known, shadow is seen in Numbers 10; an account of Moses leading the children of Israel to that same plot of land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Note, again, the mention of those that “hate God” and are His “enemies”:

Numbers 10:33-36“And they (Israel) departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them. And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp. And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.”

The Ark of the Covenant going before the people was a visual display of the Lord leading His people to search out a resting place for them. This will occur again, but not in shadow, for our Master will personally lead us into that longed-for land. He will arise with his great company from the place of judgment and set forward to scatter his enemies and establish his Kingdom upon the earth! Habakkuk 3 and Isaiah 63:1-6 detail the march of this One Body of Christ, commonly referred to as the multitudinous Christ.

We desire to quote one last passage on the subject, for it shows that this role of destroying the Lord’s enemies and fulfilling the promises was always destined by God to be carried out by His Son Jesus Christ:

Luke 1:67-75“And his (John the Baptist’s) father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.”

Note again how the deliverance from Israel’s enemies is always tied to the fulfilling of the promises! Just as in the days of Joshua, the land must first be conquered and cleansed before it can be inherited. So will it be in the future!

What does all of this mean for us? The conflict that prophecy details Christ and the saints delivering Israel from is brewing before our eyes! If the conflict is brewing, does that not tell us that our Lord is soon to arise in order to destroy them and possess the land? Is this not cause for us to prepare? It most certainly is! Though time could go on, let us ensure to make ready now. Our Master is giving us abundant signs!

Israel's New Defense System – “The Iron Beam”

Israel, seeing the trouble brewing around and within, has developed a new ‘space age’ defense system to add to its arsenal. Called the “Iron Beam”, the system is similar to Israel’s Iron Dome which fires rockets that intercept incoming missiles mid-air. As effective as the Iron Dome is, there is apparently a great need for the newer Iron Beam. An article from Defense News explains,

“Israel said its Iron Dome defense system has been a great success, with a 90% interception rate against incoming rocket fire. But officials say the system is expensive to deploy. Bennett has said someone in Gaza can fire a rocket toward Israel for a few hundred dollars, but it costs tens of thousands of dollars for the Iron Dome to intercept it.”

The Iron Done costs tens of thousands of dollars for every rocket it intercepts! Compare that to what Prime Minister Naftali Bennett says about the Iron Beam:

“The Iron Beam’s interceptions are silent, they’re invisible and they only cost around $3.50″ apiece…” That’s the price of a candy bar! Talk about innovation! For those interested, here is another article on the topic: GAME CHANGER: Israel's new 'Iron Beam' laser defense 'turns tables on terror' - World Israel News

Israel expects to deploy the Iron Beam within the next year, yet it must be noted that not even this will bring about the “safety” as prophesied in Ezekiel 38, for Israel still requires her defensive “bars and gates”. For Russia and her confederates to come against Israel, Israel must first be able to called “the land of unwalled villages… them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates” (Ezekiel 38:11). Such will never be achieved until “THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” reigns (Jeremiah 23:5-6). Once he finally reigns, these innovative systems will no longer be necessary. In fact, once Israel’s Arab neighbors are destroyed, the Lord will disarm Israel and remove all her carnal weapons and defenses, for they will be of no value whatsoever once their Lord is there to protect them:

Micah 5:9-15“Thine (Israel’s) hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.”

Horses and chariots were used for war, and thus stand for Israel’s modern equivalents: tanks, military vehicles, etc. The word “strong holds” is Strong’s H4013 and means “a fortification”. This, we believe, correlates to Israel’s present-day defenses such as the Iron Dome and the incoming Iron Beam.

Zechariah 9 also speaks about the disarming of Israel and shows that this undoubtedly refers to the time when Christ establishes his kingdom:

Zechariah 9:10“And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.”

The “heathen” that Christ here speaks peace to we believe must refer to those encompassing the rest of the world – those “far off” – and will take place after he has destroyed “the heathen round about(cp. Deuteronomy 13:7, Zechariah 12:2, 14:14). This speaking of peace will be the Gospel Proclamation to the rest of the inhabitants of the earth – to either submit to Christ’s Gospel (the Good News that his Kingdom has arrived) or to perish. Unfortunately, the prophetic picture shows that relatively few will take advantage of this offer, but how blessed we are now, dear Brothers and Sisters, to be given the opportunity to partake of this unspeakable offer of life now, for in the time that the everlasting Gospel is publicly declared to the rest of the planet, you and I will likely be the ones delivering the message!

Psalms 145:10-13 - “All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.”

Psalms 149:5-9“Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.”

What incredible honor is given to the saints! Let us all remember that regardless of our temporal positions now, we hold the loftiest position attainable to mortal men: the Brothers and Sisters of Christ. When our loving Elder Brother returns, he will remove this dreadful sin from our members and elevate us to heights undreamt of to the carnal man. Such faithful ones will cry out in rejoiceful tunes the glorious new song of Revelation, and that forever and ever!

Revelation 5:9-10“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
