Prophecy Letters

"Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them." Matt. 13:16-17

Psalm 83 is Becoming Present Reality!

TGP Prophecy Letter – April 16, 2023

Print/Download

The pace at which events are developing that relate to the 83rd Psalm is alarming! The month is only halfway through, and with this letter I will already have sent out three Prophecy Letters. The events transpiring are of such importance that I feel obligated to share comments on them. Please, Brothers and Sisters, pay attention to what is happening in the Middle East!

Iran’s Affect Upon the Arab Confederacy

We are witnessing Iran playing the main role in forming the confederacy of Arab nations mentioned in Psalm 83. This is most interesting, particularly since Iran, Scripturally named as “Persia”, is NOT listed amongst this confederacy. Prophecy teaches us that Iran will meet its demise when Russia comes down; an event which I firmly believe occurs after Israel’s war with the proximal Arab states. I have explained my thoughts on this numerous times in previous letters, but I think it necessary to briefly restate them:

I believe that Iran will be the instigator of the Psalm 83 war, but will be neutralized by Israel (most likely through a pre-emptive strike) to the point at which Iran will not be able to retaliate themselves. Instead, they will call upon their proxies to execute vengeance upon the Jewish state on Iran’s behalf, thus starting the Psalm 83 war. This scenario, though certainly liable to error, is becoming more likely with each development we are seeing.

Moving forward with this suggested sequence of events, let’s turn to the news. An article was recently published by The Jerusalem Post in regard to the Israel-Iran conflict, stating,

“This is a conflict that was driven by Iranian-backed groups, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and others in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank.”

These are Iran’s “proxies”, and take special note that every one of them is listed in Psalm 83! For a map and brief explanation of this fact, please see this article which I sent out earlier this month.

These Arab organizations and nations are called Iranian “proxies” because they fight on Iran’s behalf. Should Iran call upon them to declare a war on Israel, they would do it. What’s more is that these Arab states are currently solidifying their alliance with one another just as Psalm 83 declares (Psalm 83:4-8).

These other news items show that Iran is increasing as a nuclear threat to Israel and as the controller of Israel’s Arab neighbors. I recognize that these are a lot of headlines, but this is how we know that prophecy is actively progressing before us! Please consider each headline if you can, all of which appeared since the last Prophecy Letter was sent out on April 11th – just five days ago:

Why Is Iran Forming a New Front Against Israel? – Israel Today

The evidence cannot be avoided: the Iranian threat is increasing to the point that Israel might soon be forced to pre-emptively strike Iran!

Now, Iran has had these proxies for a number of years. But this coalition accounts for only some of the confederacy in the Psalm. There are four other modern entities which are prophesied to join them, and they are Jordan (Edom, Ammon, and Moab), Iraq (Assur), Saudi Arabia (the Ishmaelites), and, in my belief, the Bedouins (the Amalekites). These Arab entities aren’t under Iran’s thumb, but does that mean that the prophecy will not be fulfilled until they do? Absolutely not. Each one of these entities are actively being angelically positioned to join the war, and they will need little enticement to war against Israel with the other Arabs. Let’s consider each of these four Arab entities and see why:

Jordan (Edom, Ammon, and Moab)

Jordan has been a major player in most of the Arab-Israeli wars. For many years though, they have enjoyed a “cold peace” with Israel. How might Jordan assume the disposition they are prophesied to have? If their historical involvement in war with Israel teaches us anything, it is that they will likely join somewhat reluctantly. In the 1948, 1967, and 1973 wars, Jordan mostly joined with their Arab neighbors against Israel due to pressure from them. They felt obligated to fight alongside their Arab brothers. Not only this, but the right to Jerusalem in particular was always the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s likely that this will occur again.

But even if not, the “cold peace” Jordan enjoys with Israel is nearing an end. The reason, I believe, is specifically called out in the Psalm:

Psalms 83:12 Who (the Arab confederacy) said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

Myself and others view this to teach that this conflict will be religiously driven, specifically concerning the holy sites. The Muslims hold Jerusalem as the third holiest city in the world, and it is home to the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque. It’s no coincidence that Jerusalem and its holy sites are causing Jordan to resume their bitter hatred of Israel:

Tensions boil between Israel and Jordan over Jerusalem – Axios

Brethren, how could these things be shown to us more clearly! This is prophecy making the news headlines! Jordan is turning against Israel more and more, and that puts them firmly back into the arms of their Arab brothers. I firmly believe that should Iran’s proxies begin a war with Israel, Jordan is currently at the point where they will join with the Arabs.

Saudi Arabia (The Ishmaelites)

For a decent span, the Saudis were forging ties with Israel. Over the past few weeks, they have completely reversed course and are now warming up to Iran and her allies, the other nations of Psalm 83!

There’s another clear sign that Saudi Arabia is working hard to align themselves with the other Arabs. For a long time, their greatest enemies were the Houthi rebels in Yemen, a group backed by Iran. The Houthis carried out a number of attacks on the Saudis, and they were in fact one of the main reasons that the Saudis began to seek ties with Israel in the first place. But now, look what is happening:

Saudis to hold negotiations with Yemen's Houthi rebels – Israel National News

Saudi Arabia is now negotiating with their former enemies! It is just another sign that Saudi Arabia is not a friend of Israel. Should a large war break out between the Arabs and Israel, it’s likely that the Saudis will join in to help make the outcome of an Arab victory more “secure”. Regardless of whether this will be how it happens, we can know for certain that they will join against Israel, and they will certainly not win.

The last two players need little comment:

Iraq (Assur)

Iraq has been an enemy of Israel for decades. They don’t make the headlines like the other Arabs do, but their hatred for Israel is strong. The following headlines appeared just last week:

Pro-Iran Nujaba militia in Iraq threatens Israel with drones – The Jerusalem Post

Islamic Jihad Delegation Visits Iraq Ahead Of Anti-Israel Al-Quds Day – I24 News

Should a conflict erupt, they are poised to join if they so choose (which God says they will)!

The Bedouins (Amalek)

The reason I believe the Bedouins are meant by “Amalek” (Psalm 83:7) instead of Egypt, as some believe, are twofold:

The Bedouins are a tribal people, and their role in the previous Arab-Israeli wars has been merely that of assistance. They do not typically start conflicts, but they will fight in them. So will it likely be when the coming war begins. They will take the opportunity to fight alongside their Arab brothers in the hopes of finally ridding the land of Jews, but they will be rudely disappointed!

Concluding Thoughts

And so, the stage is nearly set! I am still trying to absorb how completely things are forming as it is happening so quickly. WE MUST PREPARE. If the things we are seeing are not prophecy developing before us, then nothing is. The Scriptures have told us the outcome of this, and it is the realization of our hope; our faith being turned to sight!

Obadiah 1:18-21 – And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.  (19)  And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.  (20)  And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.  (21)  And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

Arabs to Begin a Multi-Front Conflict with Israel!

TGP Prophecy Letter – April 11, 2023

Brethren, TAKE NOTICE!

In the previous Prophecy Letter, we briefly discussed some of the prophecies concerning a final Arab-Israeli. Per the Scriptures, the war that will take place on all of Israel’s borders and result in a miraculous victory wrought by Christ, the saints, and Israel. Consider this an addendum to that Prophecy Letter. A few days ago, it appeared that such a conflict might be brewing. Consider what has been reported since then!

We are seeing the “heathen round about” preparing to attack Israel! But that is not all. We’re seeing the beginnings of a concerted effort to do so, just as Psalm 83 prophesies. For the past many years, Arab attacks on Israel have been relatively disorganized and sporadic as the divisions and rivalries between the Arab nations and groups have prevented any united effort. But the 83rd Psalm says that this will one day cease:

Psalms 83:5 – For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

Arab hatred of Israel is growing to the point that it outweighs the rivalries between these Arab factions. The New York Times just reported that there’s increasing cooperation between Hamas and Hezbollah, prophetically named in the Psalm as the Philistines and Gebal and the inhabitants of Tyre (Psalm 83:7):

Rockets From Lebanon Point to Growing Hamas Cooperation With Hezbollah – The New York Times

What other indicators do we need to correlate these events to the prophecies of Psalm 83, Zechariah 12 and 14, and the many other passages? The players are forming the very coalition that was prophesied long ago! While we do not know if this brewing conflict will be the one that will require the direct, physical intervention of Christ and the saints, not a single piece of evidence says otherwise! The mountain of evidence says that things are coming to a head. We must prepare ourselves to meet our Lord, for with the abundance of signs we are being given, any claim we might make to our Lord of “ignorance of the times” or of “not having enough signs” will be without excuse. Instead, may we endeavor to make Paul’s words our own:

2 Timothy 4:7-8I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  (8)  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Arab Escalation with Israel!

TGP Prophecy LetterApril 7, 2023

Israel’s celebration of Passover has incited a dramatic uptick in violence from her Arab neighbors. The headlines speak for themselves:

Israel under attack from all sides – Israel365 News

You’ll note a recurring theme amongst these headlines: “hit on multiple fronts”, “attack from all sides”, “on all borders”. Such are common phrases used to describe the trouble Israel so repeatedly faces, and every time we see this, it should remind us of the fact that this very scenario was prophesied thousands of years ago! You likely know the passages to which I refer, for the nature of current events has led to me to cite them in nearly every Prophecy Letter. It is the combined testimony of Psalm 83, Zechariah 12, 14, and Ezekiel 28 (among others).

These passages foretell of Israel suffering trouble from nations “round about” them; a term which, when its use in the Bible is examined, is seen to refer to something which immediately surrounds or is next to something else. It’s the phraseology used to describe the nations which surrounded Israel when they first inhabited the land of promise (Leviticus 25:44, Deuteronomy 6:14, 12:10, 13:7, Joshua 21:44, Judges 2:12). It’s the term used to describe the motions of Joshua and Israel that caused Jericho’s fall (Joshua 6:3). The specific use of this phrase helps us to narrow down the identity of the nations who are said to be “round about” in the day of Israel’s trouble; a trouble which these signs tell us is in the near future! Consider

Zechariah 12:2Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

This passage has been cited to refer to the many headaches the nations have suffered who have ever dealt with Israel, but the context shows it to have a more precise and limited meaning. Jerusalem will be “a cup of trembling” specifically “when they (the people round about) shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.” That day has yet to arrive, but it is fast approaching. The rest of Zechariah 12 and chapter 14 describe how these nations are destroyed, and chapter 14:14 details the aftermath:

Zechariah 14:14And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Ezekiel 28 describes the same event, mentioning the same entities and the same result: a victory wrought by Christ, the saints, and Israel over her enemies “round about them”:

Ezekiel 28:24-26And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.  (25)  Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.  (26)  And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

Here we are given a few more details about the aggressors. They are likened to “a pricking brier” and a “grieving thorn”. Thorns do not destroy a person, but they are certainly an incessant irritant! Oh, that the Arab thorns would be removed! This will evidently be the work of the Lord, for He states here in verse 26 that “I” (the Lord) will execute judgment upon them, and then “they (Israel) shall dwell safely”. With this combination of safety and riches, the stage will then be fully set for the Gogian invasion, for these are the Scripturally described parameters that will draw Gog and his bands to this controversial tract (Ezekiel 38:8, 11-12).

But who exactly are the briars and thorns? In truth, we need no more information to identify them as Israel’s Arab neighbors who currently surround them on all sides except for the West (thanks to the Mediterranean), but the 83rd Psalm provides us with names which allows us to concretely define them. They are not the names of the nations today, but those of the nations when the Psalm was written, for this is the principle used in prophecy to refer to nations in the distant future. We simply have to discern where those nations existed at the time the prophecy was written and then look at a map today to see who currently inhabits those areas.

Psalms 83:1-8A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.  (2)  For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.  (3)  They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.  (4)  They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.  (5)  For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:  (6)  The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;  (7)  Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;  (8)  Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

While the actual phrase “round about” is not in this chapter, it doesn’t need to be. A simple map showing where the nations resided makes the statement obvious. I recently shared a map of these nations in a previous Prophecy Letter, but I will reproduce it here for ease:

Just as the Scriptures and modern news outlets describe, Israel is suffering trouble on all fronts. It is no accident that the trouble we are seeing comes from the Gaza Strip (the base for the terrorist group Hamas), Lebanon (the base for the terrorist group Hezbollah), Syria (an historically bitter enemy of Israel), and Jordan (likewise an enemy of Israel).

As for Saudi Arabia (the Ishmaelites), recent events have seen Israel-Saudi relations tank as the Saudi’s begin to warm up to Iran (see this article for more on this). I believe that Amalek refers to the Bedouin Arabs who currently inhabit the Negev: the ancient territory of the Amalekites. As for Iraq (Assur), their hateful stance on Israel is widely known, although it is largely drowned out by the terrorist acts of the Palestinians and other Muslim radicals as of late.

It is a remarkable thing that all of these nations listed in the Psalm currently call for the destruction of Israel just as prophesied, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” Some of them do so under their breath in order to have some degree of “stability” in the region, but the sentiment still exists. All that is left is for these nations to unite as a confederacy and come against Israel. Exactly how and when that will occur is not certain, but it's likely that the Netanyahu administration will continue to bring it closer to actuality!

The news items we are seeing on a daily basis are clear warnings of this great conflict. And as the passage we just read from Ezekiel 28 says, this conflict will be settled by the Lord, and it will result in Israel’s safety and security. That means that we, the covenanted of the Lord, will have been gathered and judged by this point. If we are waiting for a clear sign that Christ is near, the escalating tensions in the Middle East should grab us by the shoulders and say, “THIS IS YOUR SIGN!”

Brethren, these signs are so frequent that I feel as if I write the same Prophecy Letter over and over again. Yet the constant resurgence of headlines like those of recent days makes the repetition necessary.

When the watchman over the city spots signs of danger, they do not simply blast the trumpet once, but again and again and AGAIN until all of the people have been duly notified! This is the goal of The Prophecy Letter and those letters which other Brethren send out. We write not because we love the sound of our keyboards, but because there is a message which the Household needs to hear: the Lord is coming, and if we are choosing to ignore these signs we are being given, the sad likelihood is that we will be counted among the five foolish virgins who were caught unprepared. They did not yearn for their bridegroom, so their expectation of him faltered. Such of this category will likely hear those dreadful words of rejection from the Master, “depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:23).

Rather, let us make every mortal every to absorb the facts before us and heed the exhortation of our Lord:

Mark 13:34-37For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.  (35)  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  (36)  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  (37)  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Note: Our title picture for TGP Prophecy Letter reflects our purpose with it. It depicts a watchman on top of the city walls blowing the shofar to warn and announce to the people the great signs of the Lord. The wall bears the Hebrew inscription "Prophecy Letter."
